It’s ‘business as usual’ for the Southern Christmas Show, CEO says — even if the Park Expo is under contract

Last week, The Ledger reported that The Park Expo & Conference Center appears to be under contract, with plans for a “vibrant mixed-use development” — though details have not been shared publicly about what’s in store for the 33-acre site. 

The Park Expo is the longtime venue of one of the region’s most notable retail events, the Southern Christmas Show, which draws more than 100,000 visitors each year during its 11-day November run. The Park Expo is an ideal spot for the Christmas show, because it has ample parking, available land nearby for vendors to park their trailers and RVs and is able to be rented for upwards of three weeks.
