South End is getting a new, 43-story tower.
Riverside Investment & Development announced Friday afternoon that it has the financing in place to build the second tower of its Queensbridge Collective project, near the corner of South Tryon and Morehead streets in South End.
The construction of the tower, to be known as 1111 South Tryon, reverses a tower-building drought in Charlotte amid difficult financial times in getting such projects started.
