The investment comes amid heightened antisemitic threats against Jewish institutions
Shalom Park plans to add a perimeter fence and create an armed security program as part of new security measures expected in early 2027, according to an announcement posted to its website.
The Foundation of Shalom Park board has approved the two investments as part of what it describes as a “layered approach” to security at the south Charlotte campus, home to synagogues, Jewish schools and other religious and community organizations.
