A well-known developer is putting its weight behind the redevelopment of the old Excelsior Club in west Charlotte — proposing to build a “historically accurate replication” of the culturally significant site on Beatties Ford Road.
Developer Crosland Southeast — which is playing a key role in the redevelopment of the old Eastland Mall in east Charlotte — is now partnering with another developer, Shawn Kennedy of Kennedy Property & Development. The development team is asking for support from the city and county to breathe new life into the building.
