Come raise a glass to good journalism and good health!

You’re invited for a night out with The Charlotte Ledger and N.C. Health News on Feb. 29.

It’s a charity bourbon tasting event that benefits N.C. Health News, our nonprofit partner that has teamed up with The Ledger to give readers like you smart and independent coverage of healthcare in Mecklenburg County.

It should be a fun night. Seats are limited.

The evening includes…

  • Bourbon tasting led by certified bourbon expert (and Ledger member) Bill Rhyne

  • Custom gift raffle

  • Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments

  • Good cheer to support a worthy cause!

Details:

  • Date: Thursday, Feb. 29

  • Time: 7-9 p.m.

  • Place: The Long Room, 1111 Central Ave. in Plaza-Midwood (with ample free parking available behind the building)

  • Cost: $65 per person, or $120 per couple

All proceeds will benefit N.C. Health News and its journalism partnership with The Ledger to cover local healthcare.

(We will of course follow all of the voluminous ABC laws and requirements associated with an event like this — which is a story in and of itself that we will share at some point, but not today.)

If this event isn’t up your alley, but you know someone who might enjoy it, feel free to share.

The Ledger team is looking forward to seeing you there!
