Elon’s plan for a full-time Charlotte law school at Queens plugs another gap in professional schools

At the start of last year, Charlotte had a big gap in professional schools and was one of the largest cities in the country with no full-time medical school or law school.
But by the fall of 2027, it will have both, following the announcement on Tuesday that Elon University plans to open a full-time law school at the Queens University of Charlotte campus in Myers Park. It follows the opening last year of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Charlotte campus at The Pearl complex in midtown/Dilworth.
