The city of Charlotte appeared this month to be getting closer to releasing the $1M that it had budgeted to help pay preconstruction costs for the affordable housing village for teachers — money former school board chair Stephanie Sneed said would reimburse CMS for paying law firm Poyner Spruill and its consultant, Raki McGregor.
