More than a year after the City of Charlotte approved millions for grassroots arts funding in the 2024-2025 budget, $1.7M in grants have made their way into the hands of local arts and arts organizations.
The grants, distributed by Charlotte is Creative, awarded 106 arts organizations and individuals across three categories: operations grants for grassroots nonprofits, project grants for artists and organizations, and professional development grants for individuals.
